GLDV-Award for the best M.A. or diploma thesis

On occasion of the conference, the GLDV awards a prize endowed with 750 Euro for the best thesis within the field of computational linguistics finished within 2003 or 2004.

The programme comittee will chose three candidates out of all proposals. These candidates will be asked to present their work to the public during the conference. They will be granted partial funding for their travel expenses (up to 150 Euro).

The theses will be evaluated on both the scientific output and the conference presentation itself. The selection of the invited speakers will be based on a summary of the thesis which needs to be handed in until 01/11/2004.

Format of the summary:

• Summaries will only accepted in electronic versions
• The text may not contain information on the authorship.
• Length: max. 5000 words including headlines, without references.
